Admiral Roberts-Gawen

A carte-de-visite portrait of Admiral Roberts-Gawen (1787-1874).

John Charles Gawen Roberts Gawen was born 25 August 1787. On 13 June 1815 he reached the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy. When he retired on 4 October 1862, he held the rank of Admiral. He died at Park Street, Mayfair, London, on 21 November 1874.
