Marquess of Townshend

Rear-Admiral John Townshend, 4th Marquess Townshend, was born on 28 March 1798, the son of the Rt. Hon. John Townshend. On 31 December 1855 he succeeded his cousin, becoming the 4th Marquess Townshend. He died on 10 September 1863 at the age of 65 and was succeeded by his son, John Villiers Stuart Townshend.
