Born Henrietta King in 1842 at Umberslade in Warwickshire, she appears on the 1851 census living at The Hall in Chadshunt with her parents and five older sisters. Her father was Edward Bolton King (1800-1878), four times MP for Warwick.
In 1862 Henrietta married George Hyde Granville (1827-1902) of 'Her Majesty's Indian Army' (1861 census). The couple appear on the 1871 census living at Wellesbourne Mountford in Warwickshire, by which time they had two sons and a daughter: Dennis (7), Robert (6) and Mabel (2). Mr Granville gave his profession as 'Army Pensioner Late Indian Military Service'.
Mrs King died on 28 February 1920, aged 77.
