A pencilled inscription verso in a period hand reads; 'Metrofania' [sic].

The photographer is Bezenberg [or Wesenberg, depending on how you transliterate the Cyrillic] of St Petersburg, identified recto on the mount in the lower margin and by his studio’s backplate on the reverse of the mount.
