A small Woodburytype portrait of the actor Charles Fechter, seen here as he appeared in The Duke's Motto, an adaptation by John Brougham of Paul Féval’s Le Bossu [The Hunchback]. The production premièred at the Royal Lyceum Theatre on Saturday 10 January 1863.
