Chorine and soldier

A carte-de-visite portrait of an actress or chorine sitting on a soldier's lap. Her costume suggests she is a member of the chorus of Columbus, produced at the Gaiety Theatre by John Hollingshead in 1869. The burlesque musical extravaganza starred Nellie Farren; the chorus was led by Emily Fowler as Queen Paraquita.
