A carte-de-visite portrait of English actress Marion Tatton, who failed to make much of an impression during her short career.
She was first listed in the cast of a benefit at Liverpool in 1868. A month later she was appearing in The Victor Vanquished at Wolverhampton’s Theatre Royal. She appeared in a few productions in the summer of 1869, billed as Marian Tatton, with an A instead of an O in her first name.
There is then an eight year hiatus before she is mentioned again. At Christmas 1877 she played in The Sleeping Beauty, a pantomime at London’s Theatre Royal. I can find no other mention of her.
