A carte-de-visite portrait of The Majiltons, tumblers and contortionists whose act included comical dancing.
According to a review in the Times (Tuesday 3 April 1877) of a show at the Crystal Palace in Sydenham: ‘The Majiltons are fantastic tumblers, in appearance a grotesque compound of Harlequin and Mephistopheles, who play strange tricks with each other’s hats and their own legs.’
