Young girl with rabbit

A carte-de-visite portrait of a young girl stroking a rabbit. The animal is either her pet which she’s brought to the studio with her or a stuffed prop kept by the studio for children’s portraits.

An inked inscription verso in a period hand identifies the girl as ‘Carrie de Seilan’.
