Born at Charnock Richard in Lancashire in or about 1835, Bennet Lowe was the son of Bennet Lowe. In 1861 he was a photographer lodging in Brighton. In 1871 he was a photographer lodging at Ilkley in Yorkshire. In 1881 he was a photographer living on Brook Street, Ilkley. In 1891 he was 'living on [his] own means at 19 Bright Street, Layton-with-Warbreck, Lancashire. He died, aged 64, in 1898.
