Bank of New Zealand, Queen Victoria Street


A carte-de-visite-sized albumen print showing the Bank of New Zealand building at 1 Queen Victoria Street in London.

The triangular building was the bank's London office from 1889 to 1988. It is now the offices of the City of London Magistrates' Court Committee.

The architect was John Whichcord, Jr. (1812-1885), who designed several office buildings in London, as well as the Grand Hotel in Brighton.
