The photograph appears as an illustration on page 180 of Lori Pauli's book on Rejlander, produced to accompany an exhibition on the photographer at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa (Oscar G. Rejlander: Artist Photographer, Lori Pauli, New Haven and London: Yale University Press, 2018). The photograph on the opposite page shows the same boy sitting on some steps with his head on his knees and is titled 'Night in Town (Poor Jo, Homeless).'
