The card reads 'With deep sympathy and respect from ... [illegible]... Dartford'.
Photographed by Ernest Christopher Youens of Dartford [London]. Born in 1867, Youens was originally a basket maker. He became a photographer in 1897 and was later the first curator of Dartford Museum. He died in 1930, aged 72. One obituary described him as 'a kindly, peaceful soul who pursued the even tenor of his ways, unruffled by the artificial storms of modern times.'
