William Henry Paget was born in Dublin on 13 March 1829, the second son of Captain Lord William Paget R.N., who was the second son of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey. He gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the Indian Army. He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the service of the 25th Cavalry, Indian Army.
On 25 June 1878 he married Rosalind Margaret Northall Laurie, thirty years his junior, daughter of Peter Northall Laurie. The marriage produced one daughter.
The couple appear on the 1901 census living at 129, Victoria Street, London. The household comprised five servants, including a valet and a lady’s maid.
Major-General Paget died on 16 May 1904, aged 75.
