A carte-de-visite portrait of a man in the act of rolling a cigarette. He's holding a cigarette paper in his left and his right hand is removing some rolling tobacco from a jar on the table beside him.

An inked inscription verso in a period hand identifies the sitter as 'M. Anatole de Lasmage' or 'Larmage'
