Mlle Nathalie appeared at the Alhambra in 1862, billed as 'La Reine de Gymnaste'.
An advertisement in The Times (24 July 1862) trumpeted her 'glorious, triumphant and continued success' and claimed that 'Her performances are unanimously pronounced by the press to be the most beautiful ever witnessed.' The advertisement then quoted a review which had apparently appeared in the Daily News on 10 May, which stated that 'Her feats are marvels of muscular power. She is extraordinarily gifted. Mlle Nathallie will draw the town. The charm which renders this performance exceptional is the simple and serious grace of the gymnast.'
