A carte-de-visite portrait of Frank George Linsell (1848-1913), a draper of Calcutta, and his bride, Emma Heloise née Percy (1858-1927).
Emma Heloise Percy was born at Calcutta in India in 1857. Her father was Alfred Percy, sometimes known as John Steverson. At the time of Emma's birth in 1857 he was an 'Inspector of Calcutta police.' He had, according to the baptism record of Emme's older brother, previously been a Quartermaster Sergeant in the 48th (The Northants) Regiment of Foot.
She married Frank George Linsell, son of George James Linsell, on 29 September 1877 at Fort William in Calcutta. The marriage produced two daughters and one son. Mrs Linsell appears on the 1911 census, visiting her married daughter May Ethel Barrett and her family at Yardley in Warwickshire.
Frank George Linsell died, aged 65, on 1 September 1913 at Calcutta in India.
Mrs Linsell died on 28 February 1927 at the Colville Nursing Home in Worthing, Sussex. Her effects were valued at £321.
