Unidentified boy

A carte-de-visite portrait of an unidentified boy.

The dog seen here appears in a number of Silvy portraits of otherwise unconnected sitters, always in exactly the same pose. The inevitable conclusion is that the animal has received the attentions of a taxidermist and is merely a studio prop.
