Woman from Fanø in Denmark

A hand-coloured cabinet card portrait showing an attractive young woman from the island of Fanø, off the west coast of Denmark. She’s wearing a brown Spencer jacket with military-style buttons, although the long brown apron she’s wearing over her dark blue skirt makes it look like she’s wearing a military greatcoat. The outfit’s finished off with a blue and maroon scarf wrapped turban-style around her head. The whole ensemble looks surprisingly modern.
